Day 7 of the 2025 CGC Volleyball Premier League Final Phase delivered another action-packed round on Monday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, with title contenders asserting dominance, mid-table teams fighting for survival, and underdogs producing spirited performances across both the men’s and women’s categories.
Coming off the intensity of Day 6, Monday’s fixtures further reshaped the standings as the league enters the decisive stretch.
In the Men’s cadre, Sunshine Spikers pulled off one of the standout results of the day, beating Kada Kings 3–1 (20–25, 25–15, 25–22, 25–22).
After dropping the first set, Sunshine reorganised brilliantly, using stronger serves and confident net play to overpower a Kada side unable to sustain their early momentum.
CNS Spikers recorded a solid 3–1 win over Nigeria Police Force (25–17, 25–20, 16–25, 25–20).
While Police threatened a comeback by taking the third set, CNS showed composure to wrap up the match in four sets and stay firmly in the title conversation.
UCEM produced one of their strongest performances of the final phase, sweeping COAS Spikers 3–0 (25–18, 25–22, 26–24).
COAS mounted resistance in the third set, but UCEM’s superior blocking and transition play proved decisive, securing them a morale-boosting victory.
Defending champions Nigeria Customs Service maintained their unbeaten Day 7 record with a commanding 3–0 win over NSCDC (25–22, 25–20, 25–11).
Customs were sharp, disciplined, and tactically efficient—once again underlining why they remain one of the strongest forces in the competition.
In one of the day’s closest games, Kano Pillars overcame a spirited NAF Rockets side 3–1 (22–25, 25–20, 25–17, 26–24).
A nervy fourth set tested Pillars’ resilience, but they held firm to complete a crucial win that keeps them in contention for a podium finish.
Nigeria Correctional Service defeated Offa VC 3–1 (25–20, 25–20, 21–25, 25–14).
Despite Offa taking the third set, Correctional reasserted control in the fourth with superior finishing and tighter defensive play.
In the Women’s Category, Life Camp posted a solid 3–0 win over Anambra Queens (26–24, 25–14, 25–19), tightening their grip on a respectable position on the log.
Their improved cohesion and quick attacks proved too much for Anambra to handle.
Benue Queens continued their consistent form with a 3–0 victory over Olalomi Royal Queens (26–24, 25–21, 25–20).
While the Royal Queens pushed hard early on, Benue’s superior court coverage made the difference.
In another tie, CNS Women responded to their Day 6 loss in emphatic fashion, defeating Wikki Queens 3–0 (25–8, 25–11, 25–15).
It was a statement win—dominant, assured, and reflective of a team eager to reclaim momentum in the title race.
Nigeria Customs Service Women continued their ruthless run with a 3–1 win over NAF Rockets (20–25, 25–16, 25–14, 25–14).
After losing the first set, Customs switched gears, overwhelming Rockets with superior net play and relentless service pressure.
COAS Spikers claimed a hard-fought 3–1 victory over NSCDC (16–25, 25–17, 25–15, 30–28).
The final set was the most dramatic of the day, with both sides refusing to back down until COAS sealed it 30–28 through sheer determination and tactical discipline.
Day 7 has intensified the championship picture across both divisions.
