African Volleyball Confederation Rallies Around President Bouchra Hajij After Father’s Passing

The African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) has been thrown into mourning following the announcement of the passing of the father of its President, Madam Bouchra Hajij. The news has deeply affected not only her immediate family but also the wider African volleyball and sports community, where President Hajij has long been admired for her leadership, commitment, and visionary contributions.

In an official message of condolence, CAVB First Vice-President, Mr. Antonio Carlos Rodrigues, extended heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the Board of Administration, Management, staff, and the entire African volleyball family. He reaffirmed the Confederation’s solidarity with President Hajij during this difficult period, noting that her late father played a significant role as a pillar of strength, inspiration, and support throughout her service to African volleyball.

The CAVB emphasized that the unity of the African volleyball community remains steadfast as they stand with President Hajij in mourning and prayer, honouring the memory of a man whose influence helped shape one of the continent’s most respected sports administrators.
