Osahon Defends Young FC Robo Queens Amid Bayelsa Queens Defeat

FC Robo Queens head coach Emmanuel Osahon has defended his youthful squad despite their 2-0 defeat to Bayelsa Queens in the NWFL Premiership Super Six.

Goals from Kindness Ifeanyi and Vera Samuel condemned Robo Queens to another setback, leaving them bottom of the standings with one game remaining.

Despite the loss, Osahon insisted the competition has been a valuable learning experience for his players.

“I am not disappointed. This competition is an eye-opener for my girls, but I must say that we need to step up on some things in Nigerian football. This kind of officiating is not good for football.”

The coach argued that his side had several penalty appeals ignored during the match.

“You can go and rewatch the game. We had about three penalty appeals that were turned down. These girls are kids and they will be frustrated.”

Osahon also stressed that FC Robo Queens are still rebuilding.

“My players are not experienced enough. I must admit that. They are kids. We are undergoing a rebuilding process and I can’t apportion blame to them.”

Looking ahead, he expressed confidence that the young squad would emerge stronger.

“My girls can’t be down. It is our way. They know how to handle it and are not overwhelmed by bad results.”
