Bayelsa Captain Draws Inspiration From Super Falcons’ Ajibade
Bayelsa Queens captain Blessing Ilivieda has credited teamwork, discipline and lessons learned from Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade for her side’s resurgence at the NWFL Premiership Super Six.

The defending champions boosted their title hopes with a 2-0 victory over FC Robo Queens, courtesy of goals from Kindness Ifeanyi and Vera Samuel.
“I am grateful to God for the win and I want to appreciate my coach for giving me the opportunity to lead the team,” Ilivieda said.
She praised her teammates for their commitment during a must-win encounter.
“I must give kudos to my teammates also. They are obedient players. They listened to instructions and played with all they had knowing that only a win would keep us in the competition.”
The skipper also revealed the motivation she brought back from the Super Falcons camp.
“What I learned from Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade is the spirit of never giving up no matter the opponent. When I returned from camp, I told my teammates that although we drew the first game and lost the second, winning three games could give us the trophy if we were ready to work as a team for 90 minutes.”
