The Executive Committee of the Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) has unanimously passed a vote of confidence on its Chairman, Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi, and fixed February 6, 2026, for the association’s Annual General Assembly (AGA).
The decisions were taken at the first full meeting of the Executive Committee held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the ANSFA Secretariat. The meeting came on the heels of the board’s by-election conducted on January 15, 2026, at the East End Hotel, Awka.
At the meeting, the board congratulated the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, for incorporating football activities into the recent Onwa Dezemba yuletide celebrations. Members described the initiative as a significant boost to grassroots football and overall sports development in the state.
The Executive Committee also reviewed the outcomes of the recent elections and by-elections, formally welcoming the newly elected board members — Chief Ifejika Johnson, Prince Michael Mbaezue, Ezeokafor Donatus and Pastor Ijeoma Nwosu — who participated in their first full executive session.
In a further resolution, the board confirmed Mr. Ralph Nweke as the substantive Secretary of the Anambra State Football Association, ending his acting role which he had held since March 21, 2024.
